What People's Say About Place

After a long, cold day, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here. The spicy beef broth was incredibly flavorful and comforting. The chicken curry was also excellent. I can confidently say this is some of the most flavor-rich Asian cooking I've experienced in the US. I'm surprised this place isn't busier; it's truly a hidden gem!

Food’s great! Had the Spicy Beef Noodle soup. Good depth of flavor on the broth, it’s not just stock. Ingredients you want fresh are packaged neatly and separately. Spicy is actually spicy. Portion size is bigger than you’d expect, atleast for this specific dish. You could make two lighter meals out of it easily. For the price it competes or beats many of the places around, if you want traditional. Dining room is just fine if you want to eat in. Parking lots not huge, so maybe don’t bring a boat. 20 mins from call to food in hand. I’d come back for sure.

It's such a cute place, very clean. The people working there are so nice. The food was amazing and the dishes were priced very well. I got a HUGE bowl of noodles for like I believe $15. I brought like half the bowl home cause I wasn't able to finish it there. Very good, definitely check it out.

A Hidden Gem Worth Every Bite! My partner and I had the pleasure of dining at Mei's Kitchen, and it instantly became our go-to spot! The food was flavorful, comforting, and so well-balanced—my favorites were the House Fried Rice and Mongolian Beef (seriously addictive!). My partner couldn’t get enough of the egg rolls and beef broccoli. Not only was the meal satisfying, but the prices were totally reasonable. Great food, good portions, and the kind of cozy atmosphere that makes you want to linger. We’ve officially pinned this place on our map—and our hearts—as our favorite spot to eat out. Highly recommend giving it a try if you love delicious food and a place that feels like home.

Mei's was definitely a great choice..... Shrimp lo mein & Shrimp fried rice were really good & the portion was plentiful....definitely a go to when I'm in town! Thank you MK!

Wings were cooked perfectly and had a juicy bounce to them with light but balanced seasoning. The potstickers were good but honestly would have ordered double wings if I’d known about them beforehand. The entree was the Szechuan spicy beef and it was fantastic!! It’s plenty enough to feed two people or have leftovers. The beef had a caramelized crust to it and the veggies still had some crunch without being undercooked. Great wok hei characteristics to this dish. The chili oil soaks into the rice very well on this one so make sure you have a cold beverage close by. All in all 10/10!! Can’t wait to try some more of the menu (especially the soups) but I’m absolutely hitting those wings again!!

Service was great, and he was very helpful in answering questions we had! The Spicy Fried Chicken was very flavorful & the spice level was perfect! Highly recommend getting it with a side of rice because fried chicken & rice are always a good combo, duhh The Spicy Garlic Mussels were probably my least favorite. I just tasted more garlic than flavor. Braised Beef Noodle soup was on point! Broth was light and flavorful. The beef was nice and tender and the veggies were a perfect consistency. The Mongolian Beef had great flavorful and the beef was well cooked and not tough! The Lychee Tea was so refreshing and delicious! Can’t wait to try their other flavors. The price point here was definitely fair and you do get a pretty good size portion here. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

We got excellent service with friendly staff and great food! Went here with my parents and we got the ginger seafood soup, beef broth and rice noodle soup, and the beef chow mein! The broths were delicious and their homemade Chili Sauce was a perfect topping! One of the best Asian soups in Anchorage by far
